Sponsorship Opportunities

Amachi Pittsburgh is committed to providing positive experiences for children and putting them on the pathway to reaching their goals.

Our mentors and mentees participate in many activities together, although some cost money, the bond created through these activities is priceless. There are details of life these children may not experience otherwise – the crack of a bat at PNC Park, a quiet corridor lined with centuries-old art, or the grandeur of a Broadway play.

These experiences can enrich a child’s life. Your generosity could make these memories happen for youth with one or both parents incarcerated. Just imagine what your gift could provide

Our dedication to creating a future for the children of incarcerated parents is grounded in the mentor-mentee relationship. But there are more opportunities to build a life for these boys and girls. Please consider donating to facilitate supplemental needs and initiatives, and help create a sustainable source of inspiration for Amachi Pittsburgh youth.

$250 – Wish List: Support Empowerment

  • Training materials and specialized opportunities for mentors, parents/caregivers, and staff members
  • Tools to facilitate the recruitment and screening of Amachi children
  • Family resources, including school supplies and educational material
  • Fees associated with summer camp for children, including transportation
  • Marketing opportunities to create awareness of Amachi programs

$1,500 to $2,500 – T.E.A.M.S. Player: Pathways to Success

  • As a sponsor of Amachi T.E.A.M.S. (Teaching Entrepreneurship As a Means to Success), you will play a vital role in helping youth learn the principles of business. T.E.A.M.S. is a program that instructs Amachi youth about the value of owning or managing a commercial venture. Mentees in grades 10 through 12 learn financial responsibility through a variety of topics by taking a hands-on role in creating a business.
  • Also in need of support is the Amachi Pittsburgh Leadership Institute (APLI) for at-risk students. Students are identified from a particular set of circumstances, such as involvement in the juvenile justice system; single parent and/or abusive household; family history of substance abuse; and/or one or both parents incarcerated or deceased. APLI focuses on job readiness and career literacy training, life skills, community involvement, volunteerism, and truancy prevention. Students learn – through a mentor-mentee relationship – to become engaged in the discovery of themselves.
  • A donation of $1,500 to $2,500 will help Amachi Pittsburgh provide a valuable and unique opportunity for children of promise to prepare for their futures. Bus tours will be scheduled to visit colleges in the greater Pittsburgh area including opportunities to explore campuses, talk with students and participate in activities to learn about the college experience.

$5,000 – Promise Keeper: Invest in the Future

  • A donation of $5,000 will help us provide enhanced mentoring opportunities and extend Amachi’s reach to more and more children of promise. As a Promise Keeper, you are ensuring these boys and girls receive the guidance they desperately need, thus ending the disturbing cycle of incarceration perpetuated by too many generations.

Amachi Pittsburgh encourages children to be great by recognizing their strengths and interests, and nurturing, guiding and supporting these strengths through mentoring.

There are a number of ways you can support Amachi Pittsburgh and make memories for a child of promise.

For more information on ways to give, contact Anna Hollis at 412.281.3752 or ahollis@AmachiPgh.org.

A donation of so little could mean so much to our children.
